The table, the lamp, and the order of an evening.
This is the classroom page: when the desk is in use, what is already on it when you arrive, and how a studio night is divided. Seats are requested from the contact page.
A studio evening, hour by hour
Doors open at 18:15. The chart pack with your name is on the desk, together with a pencil and a straightedge. Teaching starts at 18:30 whether the street was slow or not.
From 18:30 the previous homework is handed back and read aloud only where the same mistake showed up on several sheets. Around 19:10 a new pattern goes onto the large paper on the wall. Students then draw that pattern on their own page. Tea is at 20:10. From 20:25 the class writes the sentence that would cancel the reading. The room closes at 21:00, and the next homework is named before chairs move.
Saturday is a different pace
The Saturday desk begins at 10:00 and ends at 16:00. Morning is candles and swings. After lunch, which you take outside, the afternoon anchors trendlines and looks once at the shapes the studio will later spend whole evenings on. Sixteen people fit when the side bench is used. The day runs from 10:00 to 16:00.
What to bring
For the studio and Saturday, bring yourself and reading glasses if you use them. The academy prints the exercises. A notebook is optional. Laptops stay closed during drawing. For the clinic, bring up to four printed sheets, large enough to mark, and leave them unmarked if you can.
